Really? Are you sure?

I really want to be exited about this, but I'm not.

Apparently a Simpsons movie will be heading into production soon, and I'm not too sure how I feel about it. Just like most TV shows, The Simpsons don't seem like they should ever go anywhere near the big screen. They really belong in a half-hour format.

Part of the beauty of The Simpsons is its quick storylines with the sudden lane-changes in the middle. It just seems like a Simpsons "plot" would be too long and disjointed over an hour and a half, and adding a real, meaningful plot to The Simpsons would be just plain wrong.

I could be wrong, though. I hope I'm wrong. We'll just have to wait and see...
